My work has appeared in Tin House Online, McSweeney's, ZYZZYVA, Fence, [PANK], The Paris Review (as the winner of NPR's 3 Minute Fiction contest), The Greensboro Review, The Santa Monica Review, and in the anthologies Sierra Songs & Descants, Hint Fiction, The California Prose Directory, and The Best of McSweeney's. I was a 2010 NEA fellow in fiction. I have completed a book of short stories called The Heartbeat I’m Feeling Isn’t My Own, and I am working on a novel about our part-time temporary status, called Adjuncts. My first poetry chapbook, Night Protest, is available now from above/ground press in Ottawa.
