My work has appeared in Fence, McSweeney's, Tin House, and The Paris Review (as the winner of NPR's 3 Minute Fiction contest). I was a 2010 NEA fellow in fiction, and my poetry chapbook, Night Protest, was published with above/ground press.
I teach writing at Contra Costa College, run syntax workshops here and there, and consult on creative projects and college entrance essays.
